We are so honored to share the incredible story of Emily and Joshua, who embarked on a breathtaking adventure and chose Lost Gulch as the backdrop for their intimate elopement. Nestled high in the mountains, with panoramic views of Colorado’s natural beauty, these two celebrated their beautiful love story. Our Videography team captured every moment of their day, from their heartfelt, emotional vows to their Jeep adventure.
Their Love Story
Emily and Joshua first met on a dating app in July of 2021. It didn’t take them long to realize that there was something special between them. When they first started talking, they felt as if they had known each other all their lives. So, four short days after their initial connection on the app, they went on their first date. A date that set the tone for their future together. They went out to dinner, went axe throwing, and then they went to a bar to grab a drink, listen to music and get to know each other a little better. They talked for hours and hours that night. First at the bar and then in Josh’s car. They knew instantly that they wanted to be in each other’s lives and that they would do whatever they could to make things work between them. That night, they became each other’s best friends, and they’ve been stuck together ever since.
The Proposal
One evening, Joshua came home early from work to Emily. Who was quite confused as to why he was home so early but definitely didn’t mind his arrival. Joshua took her into his arms and hugged hurt tight. He effortlessly explained how much he loved her, how much she meant to him, and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Then, he got down on one knee (while smiling like a little kid on Christmas morning) and asked her to marry him. Emily, of course, said yes.
Emily told us later that in that moment, she was the happiest she’d ever been. And that she loved that they were able to share that special moment, just the two of them, in their own little happy bubble.
Their Lost Gulch Elopement
It was a brisk but beautiful morning on February 5th when Emily and Joshua eloped at Lost Gulch.
They wanted their day to be intimate, romantic, and sweet. A day that would allow them to embrace the beauty of Mother Nature while focusing on each other.
It was just before sunrise when Emily and Joshua pulled up to Lost Gulch in a sleek white jeep that they had rented from Turo. After a few final touches, they made their way up to their ceremony location at the top of the mountain, hand in hand.
It was there that they shared their heartfelt, emotional vows and promises for the future. As two adventures who feel at peace amongst Mother Nature, every moment was absolutely perfect.
After exchanging their rings and sealing their love with a kiss, they made their way back down the mountain.
They stopped along the way to take in the views while embracing those first few moments as husband and wife. Eventually, they made their way back down to their trusty jeep, where they climbed on top for an even better view of the morning light.
Emily and Joshua’s Lost Gulch elopement ended with them effortlessly rocking that newlywed glow. Thankfully our photography and videography team captured it all! Now, they can always remember how perfectly in love they were on their day!
