Halfway House Elopement during a Spring snow storm in Boulder, Colorado | Selena & TJ

Selena and TJ’s Halfway House elopement in Boulder was nothing short of enchanting – exchanging vows in a real-life snow globe is a truly magical experience! It’s admirable how they embraced the unpredictable Colorado weather and captured some truly memorable and whimsical photos.

Their Love Story

Selena and TJ’s love began the way a lot of solid relationships do, as friends. Their fate is actually due to Texas Roadhouse, where TJ and Selena’s brother worked together. At the time, Selena and her brother were living together, and TJ would often come over to hang out with her brother Louis. The two hung out around each other for about a year, and then one faithful night at a pool hall, their friendship turned into something so much. It was the night that changed the course of history as we know it.

The Proposal

Selena is a huge Star Wars fan; we are talking collectibles, toys, movies, you name it, she likes it. Knowing this, TJ crafted a Star Wars-themed proposal video for his favorite nerd. A video that began with the synonymous phrase, “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…”.

TJ may or may not have said, “Yoda, only one for me.” And Selena knew she had found the Han Solo to her Princess Leia.

Their Halfway House Elopement

When Selena and TJ reached out to us about their elopement, they mentioned that they love anything that isn’t traditional. In fact, this is one of the many reasons they loved the idea of eloping in the Colorado mountains. They dreamed of an intimate day that was sweet and simple but also magical. One that would allow them to just be together and celebrate their love.

So, on the evening of April 4th, on Flagstaff Mountain, Mother Nature delivered. Selena and TJ had an intimate Halfway House elopement ceremony as a flurry of snow fell around them.

The snowfall was unexpected and could have potentially ruined their plans. However, these two love birds were completely unphased by this unpredictable weather. Instead, they admired every snowflake and embraced every moment of their day.

After exchanging their vows, they explored the snowy mountain, hand in hand. They were infectiously happy and, even in the middle of a Spring blizzard, were glowing in love.
