Casey and Ryan had an intimate elopement in Boulder at Sunrise Amphitheater with their immediate families surrounding them with love and support at the altar. They woke up before the sun the next day and met us back on Flagstaff Mountain for Sunrise Elopement photos at Lost Gulch overlook!
Before their ceremony at the amphitheater, the bride and groom shared a moment alone and had a first look.
I love that Casey brought Taco Bell hot sauce packets as an inside joke to reminisce about one of their first dates.
After their private first look, the bride and groom did their wedding processional hand in hand and walked down their aisle together towards the altar at the iconic Sunrise Amphitheater overlooking the city of Boulder where their families were waiting.
It was so special that this couple chose to have their families stand at the altar with them during their elopement ceremony rather than sit as audience members or guests. It really emphasized the feeling of being surrounded by love and support from the people they love the most.
During their elopement ceremony, officiated by Ceremonies with Lisa, the couple chose to have a ring warming ceremony. This means that each family member held their wedding bands and filled them with warm wishes and positivity before the bride and groom exchanged them.
Casey and Ryan also chose to incorporate a hand fasting ceremony in their elopement. Fun fact: Hand fasting is where the term “tie the knot” was first originated. They put intentional meaning into each cord that was placed over their hands, then read each other their hand-written vows for their married life to come before pulling the cords and tying the knot!
Wooohooooo – married at last! I love that after they sealed their marriage with a kiss their families immediately wrapped them in a big group hug.
After their Boulder elopement ceremony overlooking the city, we headed behind the amphitheater to take some just married photos of these two with the flatirons and a gorgeous sunset for a perfect backdrop!
After taking some quick photos these two headed to an intimate elopement dinner in Boulder with their families so they could spend the rest of the evening with them. Then, we all woke up before the sun to catch the alpenglow the next morning for some gorgeous sunrise elopement photos at Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder!
I love that Casey and Ryan prioritized their connection and the intimacy of their sunset elopement by spending the rest of the evening with them, but still gave themselves time for their elopement photos the following morning with just the two of them. They really did get the best of both worlds with having sunset lighting and sunrise lighting incorporated in their elopement experience!
