Artist Point Elopement | Jaylea & Ryan

One of our favorite things about elopements is seeing how our couples customize their day with unique and meaningful details! During Jaylea and Ryan’s Artist Point elopement, they had a ring-warming ceremony, and their little girl was the designated ring chaperone who handed off the rings to her parents! Before we dive into their Boulder elopement day, let’s take it back to the beginning, when they first met.

Their Love Story

Their love story began the way many twenty-first love stories do. When two people swiped right.
Their first date was at the Wild Boar, a coffee shop in Fort Collins. They met for breakfast and a coffee and spent time talking and connecting. In fact, they enjoyed each other’s company so much, they went on their second date later that evening. I guess you can say the rest is history!

The Proposal

It was Christmas time, the streets were covered in snow, and Christmas lights were all aglow.

One evening, Ryan suggested they take their dog Bailey for a walk. However, before they left on said walk, Jaylea wanted to change into her big, baggy sweatpants. Due to the nature of their “walk” Ryan couldn’t tell her not to.

Upon their return, they were greeted by a group of Christmas carolers who had taken stage in front of their home.

Ryan had hired the group of carolers to surprise Jaylea. She assumed they were out spreading Christmas cheer for all to hear.

Even the neighbors were in on the surprise and stood outside to watch the show. After they sang Jaylea’s favorite Christmas song, Little Drummer Boy, Ryan got down on one knee and ask Jaylea to be his wife.

Jaylea was shocked with excitement she ran inside for her phone to capture the moment. Little did she know her family was hiding in the neighbor’s yard. Ryan was afraid she would notice them hiding. Fortunately, she too caught up in saying yes!

After she said yes, her family came out from their hiding places and surprised her again! Ryan’s mother and grandmother even joined in the celebration via Facetime.

It was a perfect proposal and the best surprise.

Their Artist Point Elopement

On the evening of August 19th, Jaylea, Ryan and their families gathered together for their Artist Point elopement on Flagstaff Mountain in Boulder.

Jaylea’s father walked her down the aisle where Ryan and their officaite were waiting. Their families, including their little girl, Isla watched from a distance.

One of our favorite details from their day was that they included a ring-warming ritual into their ceremony. During a ring-warming ceremony guests pass around the couples’ rings to warm them with good thoughts and wishes! It’s a great way to make your day more memorable, and the perfect way to include your loved ones.
